Microsoft 365 Copilot is changing how some AI features are billed.

Starting November 2, 2026, new Microsoft 365 Copilot Business licences purchased through the CSP program will have usage-based billing enabled by default.

So, what does that actually mean?

Your regular Copilot licence price isn't changing. However, some advanced AI services may use Copilot Credits, which means additional charges could apply based on usage.

For businesses considering Copilot, it's worth understanding:
🔹 What's included with your licence
🔹 Which advanced features may incur additional costs
🔹 Who has access to usage-based AI services
🔹 How spending limits or alerts can be managed

The takeaway: AI pricing is becoming more of a mix between subscription and usage-based models. Understanding how your team is using these tools can help avoid unexpected costs.

Cyber Fact Friday: Too Many MFA Requests Can Be a Warning Sign

Getting repeated MFA notifications you didn't initiate?

Don't just dismiss them.

Attackers may deliberately send repeated login or MFA requests hoping that a frustrated user will eventually approve one just to make the notifications stop. This technique is known as MFA fatigue or MFA bombing.

If you receive an unexpected MFA request, don't approve it. Report it to your IT team and check whether someone is attempting to access your account.

AI adoption isn't just an IT decision.

As more businesses introduce AI tools into their day-to-day operations, there's another question organizations need to ask:

Are we ready to use AI securely?

AI readiness involves more than choosing the right tool. Organizations should also consider:

• How employees are using AI
• What company or customer data is being shared
• Who has access to AI tools
• What policies and governance are in place
• How AI-related risks are monitored and managed

At the same time, cybercriminals are using AI to make attacks more sophisticated.

The organizations adopting AI successfully won't just be thinking about what the technology can do. They'll also be thinking about how to use it responsibly and securely.

Is AI part of your organization's plans? It may be time to look at the security and governance side of the conversation, too.

Cyber Fact Friday: A QR Code Can Be a Phishing Link

Think twice before scanning that random QR code.

Cybercriminals can use malicious QR codes to send people to fake login pages, fraudulent websites or sites designed to steal sensitive information. This tactic is sometimes called quishing (QR code phishing).

QR codes can appear in emails, text messages, posters, flyers or even stickers placed over legitimate QR codes.

Before you scan, ask yourself: Do I know where this code is taking me?
