Do you use an Android box for streaming TV? You may want to give this article a read. Android is used for commodity boxes and smart devices because it's cheap and easily modified; it also can be full of security holes if it's not regularly patched and updated. We discovered an infected streaming box in a customer's network over the weekend. The main symptom is an extremely high amount of upload traffic, which can saturate a customer connection, making your other devices think they don't have Internet access.
