Rossburn Area: To complete maintenance work at our station, we need to take an outage on August 13 from around 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This outage will affect about 800 customers in the area including Ruthenia, Vista, and parts of Waywayseecappo First Nation.

We've recently been receiving bouncebacks from certain email providers that have been blocking our billing email as spam. If your email address ends in mts.net, mymts.net, or escape.ca, please add [email protected] to your safe list. You may need to log into your webmail or contact your email provider to do so.

This service will be available for the rest of the summer! Streaming services and social media are blocked, but messaging and wi-fi calling services are available.

We have resolved a minor outage affecting customers served off of the Rossburn Elevator. The outage was caused by misconfigured customer equipment. If your service is still not working, please reboot your router by unplugging its power cable for a minute.

Also, please take this friendly reminder that the only cables you should ever unplug from your router in the event of an outage are the power cables. Moving the network cables around into different ports will ensure your service WILL NOT work even after an outage is resolved.

⚠️ 45 Networks will be doing some maintenance on our Rossburn Elevator site tomorrow morning between 5:30am and 8:00am. During this time there will be multiple short outages. Details are as follows:

Date: Tuesday April 21 2026
Maintenance window: 5:30-8:00 CDT
Number of outages: multiple
Individual outage duration: 2 to 5 minutes each
Service areas affected: Rossburn, Rossman Lake, Vista, Oakburn, Angusville, Waywayseecappo

We have planned this to cause minimal disruption to your home and business internet use. This maintenance is the first step in deploying hardware upgrades that will increase our network capacity and allow us to offer significantly faster Internet speeds in and around Rossburn. By moving eligible customers to this new hardware, capacity will be freed up on our existing systems, creating a better user experience for all customers.

Do you use an Android box for streaming TV? You may want to give this article a read. Android is used for commodity boxes and smart devices because it's cheap and easily modified; it also can be full of security holes if it's not regularly patched and updated. We discovered an infected streaming box in a customer's network over the weekend. The main symptom is an extremely high amount of upload traffic, which can saturate a customer connection, making your other devices think they don't have Internet access.

The article also contains a link to a webpage that will tell you if your home network is or has been a source of botnet traffic. If you think a device on your network has been compromised, please get in touch and we will assist you with remediation.
