Texture Study ⛓️
I've had some creative block recently. Even my "side crafts" seem daunting with decision paralysis.
I'm often staring at a screen. Sifting through thousands of fonts.
Looking for different ways to grow my perspective, this is what I came up with:
Texture Seek and Find!
No thinking, no deciding, no planing, no prep work, no perfecting.
Just texture, just colour, just patterns!
It's been teaching me to view things with a child-like wonder for the surroundings I've become so normalized to.
I challenge you to try it!
Tag me if you do, I want to see!

As Pow Wow Season comes to a close, I want to say thank you.
Thank you to those reconnecting to culture, earth, community, family, the good ways.
Thank you to those learning, growing, listening, trying.
Thank you to those celebrating each other, our people, themselves, tradition.
Thank you to those who support, share, purchase, watch, comment.
Miigwetch, Miigwetch, Miigwetch.

Connecting and Reconnecting 🫶
Support Local.
Support Small.
Support Kindness.

We had such a great time at the Batchewana First Nation Annual Pow Wow.

It was also pretty special for Ikeda and me to run into Alyssa Jones. We’ve known her since she was little, and now she’s the woman behind Lucid By Lyss, her own local woman-owned business. We’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come.

I love seeing young people in the Sault take an idea, work hard and build something of their own. Supporting local really does mean supporting the people behind these businesses.

With Orange Shirt Day coming up (September 30th), Alyssa also has some beautiful and unique designs. I already know I’ll be wearing mine.

Keep going, Alyssa. We’re proud of you. ❤️

Support local. Support small business. Support Kindness.
