This outdoor audio system is designed around localization, much like a well-planned lighting design. Rather than relying on a single loud speaker to cover the entire backyard, we’ve created four dedicated audio zones that keep the sound focused exactly where it’s needed.

Around the hot tub, for example, you can listen comfortably using just the nearby speakers, even with the jets running, without blasting music across the whole property or disturbing the neighbors. The sauna follows the same philosophy. Because it’s an enclosed space, a single discreet speaker connected to the Sonos system provides more than enough sound for a great listening experience.

A lot of technology packed into a surprisingly small footprint.

This rack houses the home’s Wi-Fi router, an Araknis network switch, six NAD network stereo amplifiers, and all the supporting equipment that keeps everything running smoothly. A WattBox UPS provides battery backup and power conditioning, protecting the system from power outages and surges.

The NAD amplifiers deliver high-quality streaming audio throughout the home, while the Araknis network switch connects multiple Wi-Fi access points to ensure fast, reliable coverage in every room.

To make future service and upgrades simple, the entire rack is mounted on a sliding and rotating assembly for easy access.
