Bittele is proud to announce the addition of our Free Passive Parts to our online ordering system. Any passive parts on your BOM with a direct match to a part number in our inventory will be automatically provided for your order, free of charge. Not only do you benefit from a lower BOM cost, using our free parts also helps to reduce the leadtime of your order, as the parts are already at our production facility.

Using our Parts database during the creation of your BOM is the best way to ensure your order uses as many free parts as possible. However, even if your BOM does not contain part numbers from our parts library, you may still take advantage of our free passive parts service using the View Alternates function. If a suitable substitution is found in our inventory, you may select it here, and we will provide the part for free.

Our low-cost PCB fabrication is optimized for our assembly process and helps avoid compatibility issues. For each project, we optimize the panelization and depanelize the boards before shipping them to you.

With each Turnkey order, we include a free DFM check. This check eliminates manufacturability issues before the bare PCBs are fabricated, and greatly reduces the chances of a costly re-spin.

Our BOM pricing team checks pricing with each authorized vendor to ensure you always receive the lowest component cost. With no markup on component pricing, you not only receive the lowest possible BOM price, you also save the time and resources of managing and shipping component orders from multiple vendors.

Once we have purchased the components, our suppliers include a unique barcode for each part we purchase. This reduces the amount of time required to sort components for each order and reduces the possibility of a part being mislabeled.

While the COVID19 pandemic has affected many industries, it has caused particular disruptions within the electronics component supply chain.

A rising demand in the automotive and consumer electronics sectors, coupled with supply chain limitations, has led to shortages and extended lead times for many components. As demand is exceptionally high, there has also been an increase in costs for various components.

While our policy is to purchase only from Authorized North American vendors, we also have a team that can either source parts locally in China or recommend an alternative part if certain parts are not available after your approval.

For items with an unavoidable lead time, clients may choose to place a “Parts only” order with Bittele and proceed with the Turnkey PCB Assembly once the parts arrive.

The current global component shortages are expected to continue well into 2021. Bittele is advising our clients to consider placing their volume and prototype orders as soon as possible to reduce the chance of delay.

Press-fit connectors offer unique benefits over their SMT and through hole counterparts. As a solder-free process, press-fit assembly removes the risk of dry solder joints while also offering excellent current carrying and heat dissipation capabilities.

Here at Bittele, our DFA check reviews your design for any potential manufacturability issues before assembly begins. To ensure we are able to meet the highest level of assembly quality, Bittele will test assemble any press-fit connectors ahead of production using a spare bare board. This allows us to test and fine tune our fixtures to provide you with the highest assembly yield possible.
