What happens when your presence becomes part of an audiovisual system?

Using a self-trained model, a camera recognizes people and everyday objects in the space. The presence and movement of people reshape the generative sound, while detected objects, such as smartphones, trigger additional sonic events.

Built with TouchDesigner and VCV Rack , the installation transforms AI-based visual recognition into an evolving audiovisual experience.

Created by Nathanael Noir, with generative sound by Thomas Bua (Oat M).

You Are the Input is an ongoing work in progress. Weโ€™d love to bring it to new spaces, exhibit it in different contexts, or adapt it to specific environments and ideas.

Flower Tools and TD Hangout return to The Loft with a hands-on workshop in live visuals and TouchDesigner, led by Berlin-based generative artist and VJ Linda Nicolai (AVHS) for the QRAVE (QRAVE ) community.

Linda works where visuals, music and technology meet, building playful, experimental audiovisual worlds in real time. On the 28th of October, participants will get inside TouchDesigner, the logic of generative visuals, and leave with a first sketch of their own to keep developing.

28th October. Wednesday.
Registration is compulsory.

Entry is free, but spaces are limited. Participants are selected by QRAVE, TD Hangout and the workshop facilitator.

Last month I finished my MFA Goldsmiths, Dept of Computing

When I started I had no idea what an Array was and now I can build robots.

These last 3 years have been of massive growth at goldsmithscomparts Iโ€™ve met amazing people, made lovely friends and been introduced to a very talented and smart community and ofc Iโ€™ve spawned a few more wrinkles, computing is no joke. Itโ€™s been overall such a great experience and one of the best decisions Iโ€™ve made for my career so far.

For now Iโ€™m happy to stay connected to Goldsmiths, Dept of Computing as staff, TAing for Computational Arts research and theory module, Motion Capture module and XR module.

Iโ€™m so excited to see what London has in store for me.

This was one of the biggest dreams of baby Rafa - โญ๏ธ so gold star for me.

Thank you Stathis Doganis for my last photo mid install for the degree show back in August.
