I know I have some nursing friends out there who also have nursing friends, NP, PSWs, please pass on this message.

We're introducing a new burnout recovery system through an app that we have been building over the last 3 or 4 years. We developed it to offer nurses a chance to help with improving their well-being while at work through mindfulness, breathing techniques, groundedness, subtle exercise moves at the station, and daily habits with nutrition and hydration. Not to mention apersonalized system to target areas that cause burnout.

We also have a peer-to-peer nurses' lounge where you can vent, laugh amongst peers and just build community.

We're so excited to start inviting nurses in now from across North America and we hope that you will consider joining. It's nursemoves.org. You can find out more information and sign up there.

The first 3 months are free and then it's a very low monthly cost. Founding members, the first 100, will receive that rate for the rest of their nursing lives. Come on out and/or check it out and please spread the news far and wide. Thank you.

You spend your shifts caring for others. But who takes care of you?

Sometimes, you get home from work, but your mind is still at the hospital. You’re tired, overwhelmed, and just trying to catch your breath.

That’s why we’re building the Nurse Moves Burnout Recovery System, a space for emotional, physical, and spiritual support, with optional faith-based resources.

We’re welcoming our first 100 Founding Nurses, and you can be part of it!

✨ Get 3 months free
✨ Access the app early and help shape the community
✨ Enjoy exclusive founding benefits

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just come as you are. You deserve support, too.

"A common pattern I see when I audit practitioner websites:

The homepage talks about the journey. The services page talks about the modalities. And nowhere does it say, plainly, 'I work with people who are grieving, and here's what a session looks like.'

Your clients aren't confused because they're not paying attention. They're confused because the plain sentence was never written.

Small wording changes often help when the problem is contained - that's where I'd start. The 7-Step Website Clarity Guide shows you where to look first."

Is your next step clear?

Us marketers call this "CTA, call to action",.which tyically spells out the next step you want the "prospect" to take in their customer journey. Each web page should have its own unique and relevant CTA. Many assessments I I perform, I tend to see the generic, "visit my website," "book a call," or totally missing. If you feel a huge gap between people viewing your website or social posts and visitors clicking through
add CTA in comments for a free marketing guide.

Someone may read your blog long after the visitors have gone home.

The kettle clicks off. A cup sits untouched. They pick up their phone with a question they haven’t found the words to ask anyone.

As a death doula, what would you want your writing to offer them in that moment?

That question can change how you approach your next blog.

Start with recognition.
Name a moment they might recognise: “You want to talk with your parent about their wishes, but every opening sentence feels too heavy.”

Offer guidance.
Give them one gentle place to begin: “You could ask, ‘Would you feel comfortable telling me what matters most to you as you think about the care ahead?’”

Leave an invitation.
Explain what support with you could look like, while giving them room to choose.

Before publishing, pause and ask:

Have I given this person something useful, even if they never contact me?

A question they can borrow. A clearer understanding of their options. Words for something difficult to explain.

That is meaningful work for a blog to do.

P.S. If you’d like help turning the care behind your work into clear, thoughtful website and blog content, message me to arrange a 30-minute discovery call with SimplifyingTheWeb. We’ll explore where you’re getting stuck and a manageable next step.

You’re One Tool Away From Reaching More Clients

🚀 Do potential clients know how to find you?

Many therapists and practitioners struggle with visibility, but AI-driven SEO tools like Ubersuggest can change that. Imagine someone in your area searching for support—and finding you first. 🌱

✅ Here’s how to start:

Visit Ubersuggest and enter a keyword like "grief counseling near me."
Find high-ranking keywords relevant to your services.
Add those keywords naturally to your website or blog posts.

Warm and specific can work together

"A safe space to begin your journey.”

That sounds welcoming. It leaves a visitor with a practical question: what kind of support is available here?

For a counselling practice, a clearer introduction might be:

“Counselling for adults navigating grief and life changes.”

You can still use the warmer sentence underneath it.

Plain language gives your welcome something concrete to rest on. Your visitor can begin deciding whether to explore further.

Try reading your opening sentence without your business name. Does it explain your service?

A clearer starting point

Looking at your website and wondering whether you need to start again?

Before you make that decision, open your homepage and read the first few lines.

Can someone understand who you help, what you offer, and whether it fits their situation?

If those answers are buried, a clearer introduction may be a useful first change. You may be able to keep the design, photographs, and pages you already have.

Start with the part that is making understanding difficult.

P.S. Our free 7-Step Website Clarity Guide can help you choose where to begin. The guide is in the first comment.

**A family may meet your website before they ever meet you.**

And for a death doula, that matters.

Your work is deeply human.

You sit with people during conversations that can be difficult, uncertain and deeply personal.

But then someone finds your website...

And it sounds like everybody else’s.

Generic wellness language.
Stock phrases.
A list of services.

Nothing *wrong* with it.

But not much that helps someone understand what it might actually feel like to have **you** beside them.

Your website doesn’t need to be louder.

It needs to feel more like you.

Your words, photographs and examples can quietly communicate:

**“This is how I work. This is who I support. And this is what you can expect when you reach out.”**

That kind of clarity matters when the person visiting your website may already be carrying a lot.

So here’s a simple question:

**If someone only had your website to go by, would they get a sense of the real person behind your work?**

That’s one of the things I invite you to look at in my free **7-Step Website Clarity Guide**.

It’s designed to help care-based practitioners step outside their own website for a moment and see it through a visitor’s eyes.

No overhaul required.

Just seven places to look more closely.

For care-based professionals and death doula practitioners: When I land on your website or landing page?
- Would the right person recognize themselves?
- Have you clearly marked who this site is for?
- What problem or outcome do they see first?
- What words would your ideal client use to describe their situation?
