Are you connecting with your core customer base?

It’s all about building trust with your customer base. But before you build trust - they need to know you. Not just know you - but be knowable. Use Instagram as a platform to share with your target audience. Use videos or pictures of ways to help them and solve their problems.

The more you share and connect with your customers the more you will become known as the professional in your space of business and they will become your friends. Friends that can trust you and give you business.

Don’t be shy to post more personal content. It helps for people to relate to your business if they’re going to give you their attention.

I haven’t posted on here in a while. I’ve been busy with a few new projects! I’m working on some exciting things. This past week I redesigned my website as a passion project (it needed an update). Link is in my bio if you’re keen to have a look.

I’ll be starting a new job with a company that specializes in Shopify and building out the best website to help sell your goods! Most of my past experience have been with service style businesses - so I’m looking forward to learning how online stores work and seeing if we can find ways to make those experiences easier for people.

Questions to ask your customers for TESTIMONIALS:

Everybody knows that Testimonials help sell you as a business.

As consumers we need reassurance before purchasing a product or service.

Reading or watching a testimonial gives us reassurance because we’re able to relate on a human level.

5 questions to ask a customer when getting a testimonial:

1. What was it like before you used my service?
2. What have you been able to achieve now that I’ve completed your website?
3. What’s the main reason why you would recommend my service to someone else?
4. What would you tell someone who is considering using my services?
5. Anything else you would like to comment on?

It’s also a great exercise to understand your customers a little more and see where you can grow and improve as a company. .

Let’s talk about niche market and defining your target audience.

If you don’t know and understand who your target audience is you will never sell your business to someone.

First you need to decide who they are

🟢Start here: Create a customer avatar.
Answer the following questions to define your target audience.
The more specific you can be about who this person is - the easier it will be to market to your audience.

🔵Identify:
Age or age range
S*x
Location
Education
Relationship status
Occupation
Income and household size

🔵Traits:
What are their interests?
What is their lifestyle like?
What are their core values?
What are their personal goals?
What causes matter to them?
What brands do they use/like?

🔵Illustrate their pain points:
Before you can help your potential customers - you need to know what problems and struggles they have.
Create a list of 4-5 challenges your avatar might be dealing with
This will help you communicate with empathy and create emotional resonance with your customers.

🟢The fun part: BENEFITS
Define the goals and benefits that your avatar would like to receive based on the problems they face.
Imagine the ideal outcome of the exact opposite of the problems and pain points listed above.

This will help align your sales proposition with your clients in a highly value driven way.

If you want to captivate your target audience - You need to touch on their pain points and offer a solution that is so valuable to them that they can’t say no.

How to Collect Emails with your website?

🔵Building an email list isn’t a thing of the past - it’s still a crucial part of building brand love and generating more customers.

🟢“Social Media is enough” ###
Social media is great - don’t get me wrong - but it’s like building a house on somebody else’s land - which comes with a price. If you build out a list of emails - these are all potential leads for your business!

🟢If someone is willing to give you their email - that is a micro-commitment. Which means they’re a much more engaged prospect.

🔵Nobody wants to opt in for your “Newsletter”

🟢Think of offering something of value. People won’t give their email away unless they’re receiving something of value.

🔵Some examples can be “Free workout plan”

“Discount on product”
“Discount on service”

🟢You can’t afford to lose potential costumers based on the photos you’re using.

Think of your ideal customers in a happy state after using your product or service.

🔵Pictures of people are a lot more attention grabbing than any other kind of photo.

Don’t think about being more creative

Think about solving problems in a more interesting way
(Easier)

Define the problem you’d like to solve.
The better you define the problem you’re trying to solve the easier it will be for creativity to come forward.
Understand how others have solved similar problems. Failure to success - it’s important to know what works and what doesn’t work.
But How?
Ask yourself these questions:
Does my solution feel unique?
Does my solution feel surprising?
Does my solution make people feel happy?
Do I want to show my solution to everyone?
When you can answer YES to these questions, you will know you’ve got a CREATIVE solution.

Write articles that are helpful to your client base. Post them on LinkedIn, Medium, and on your website.
Don’t forget to add links to your website.

Page Descriptions on google:
Capture your target audience by providing more insight into the benefits a customer will receive when working with you or using your service. Don’t just make it about you - make it about them.

Add more images to your existing posts or pages:
Images help your readers retain more information
They keep people on your site longer and google likes to reward that with higher search rankings

Speed up your website:
Most people will not wait for your site to load longer than 3 seconds

If your website ticks all these boxes then you’re on the right track. If it doesn’t - you might be missing out on opportunities to get more customers!

Tech moves so quickly - it’s important to stay up to date with your website or you’ll fall behind and your business won’t be taken seriously in todays market.

Depending on your type of website and business, the amount of time a user spends on your website is directly relative to the quality of content offered on it, and how useful it is to them.

By offering more high-value content, you are keeping your users happy and increasing the likelihood of them converting into customers.

Remember to design for your ideal customer in mind. Keep it simple and easily digestible.
