Tinkerine is hosting two 1-day 3D Printing for Beginners workshops next week, Aug 28 & 29! It's a great opportunity to learn about 3D printing, and you get to take home your very own printed item. Laptops required.

Google has launched their Made With Code website for girls learning to programming.

There are links to beginner and intermediate projects, resources, and events. There are no Vancouver events listed yet, but hopefully there will be soon.

GIRLsmarts at SAP was mentioned in the Huffington Post Canada :)

They hosted two more great grade 7 workshops at SAP in May/June, reaching 165 girls in their first year! More are being planned for October.

Be Like Ada is a one-day workshop for teenage girls. It's happening on July 19 and they are still looking for registrants!

Be Like Ada is a one day coding event for teen/high school girls. The coding day will focus on the fundamentals of programming, creativity, collaboration and hearing from women with cool careers because they code.

This is a bit late, but we had an amazing turnout for GIRLsmarts this year! There were 140 grade 6 girls who came out to UBC and 65 grade 7 girls who attended SAP's first ever GIRLsmarts event. Thank you for all who volunteered and supported us.

GEERing Up! UBC Engineering & Science for Kids is pleased to offer a Girls Only! Junior Tech Trekker summer day camp for girls entering grades 6-7 in September.

The camp offers a dynamic mix of demonstrations, hands-on projects, design competitions and labs. The camp runs July 25-29, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, with optional before care (8:15am to 9:00am) and after care (3:00pm to 4:00pm).
