There’s something especially meaningful about hearing a client describe not only what we created together, but how the experience felt along the way!

For Luavella Medical, the goal was to create a brand and website that reflected the thoughtful, personal care Dr. Laura and Dr. John Tierney provide. Every decision, from the strategy and identity to the website experience, was designed to help their new clinic feel established, trusted and distinctly their own.

The Alignment Files: Luavella Medical, Chapter 5. The Website.

The final chapter.

We started with how Luavella needed to feel: trusted, experienced, warm and considered. From there came the visual direction, the identity, and finally, the place where it all comes together.

The new Luavella Medical website carries that same experience from the clinic to the screen, pairing an editorial feel with a clear path through their women’s health and aesthetic services.

This is why I love working across both brand and web. The identity doesn’t end with a logo. It becomes part of every interaction someone has with the business.

And with that, The Alignment Files: Luavella Medical is complete.

The Alignment Files · Chapter 4: The Brand Identity

After defining how Luavella needed to feel and establishing the visual direction, it was time to create an identity that could carry it all forward.

Refined, warm and distinctive, with a sense of softness that still feels at home within a physician-led clinic.

From the custom brandmark and logo suite to the way the identity translates across different applications, every element was designed to feel unmistakably Luavella.

A brand that reflects where they are now, and where they’re going next.

The Alignment Files · Chapter 3: Finding the Visual Direction

Once we understood what Luavella needed to communicate, we could begin translating that strategy into a visual language.

Warm. Considered. Human. Reassuring.

The moodboard brought those ideas together, from the warmth of the colour palette to typography with just enough character to feel distinctive (while still belonging in a physician-led clinic).

Each choice had to support the same experience: professional without feeling clinical, refined without feeling unapproachable.

This is the part of the process where strategy starts to become something you can see.

A look through the Baer Brand Studio process…

Before exploring colours, typography or logos, I spend time asking questions.

Who is Luavella really for?
What should patients feel the moment they walk through the door?
What makes the Luavella experience different?

The answers were

* Two physicians with decades of experience.
* A consultation before every treatment.
* Evidence before trends.
* A calm experience where patients feel listened to.

Strong brands are built by understanding what they’re meant to represent.

The Alignment Files | Luavella Medical

Most branding projects begin before a business opens.

This one didn’t.
By the time we started working together, Luavella Medical had already opened its doors.

Patients were receiving exceptional care, trust was growing, and the clinic had quickly built a wonderful reputation within the community.

What hadn’t caught up yet was the brand.

This project wasn’t about reinventing the business. It was about creating a brand that reflected the level of care, and patient experience that already existed.

This is the first chapter of that story.

I love that branding is both analytical and creative.
Some days I’m mapping out a website.
Other days I’m sketching ideas in a notebook.

Every project moves between strategy sessions, pages of notes, sketching ideas, ideas explored on screen, concepts printed and reviewed, and lots of creative exploration before the final brand comes together.

The finished brand is what people see, but it’s everything that happens beforehand that gives each decision a reason.

Before we talk about logos, I ask every client one question:

How do you want people to feel when they experience your business?

It might seem like a simple question, but I’ve found it often determines the direction of a project

Every business answers it differently. Some want their clients to feel reassured. Others want them to feel confident, supported, inspired, or understood.

Once we understand the experience we’re trying to create, the visual decisions start to make a lot more sense.

Branding isn’t just about how a business looks. It’s about how it makes people feel.

As businesses grow, expertise deepens, services evolve, and audiences become clearer. But many brands continue to communicate where the business started rather than where it is today.
