Flexographic Printing Press operator is needed at our facility in Vaughan, Ontario.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
Knowledge to Set up 4 colour Flexo printing press.
Sets up, adjusts, maintains and operates a flexographic press - Works under minimum supervision.
Install the printing plate with the images to be printed.
Thorough understanding of imposition, trapping, troubleshooting, colour correction.
Must have the ability to think through the mechanical aspects of press operations, problem solving and decision making.
Prepare and maintain appropriate documentation for pressroom operations.
Ensure tools and supplies are properly maintained.
Perform required maintenance and daily housekeeping on the press and surrounding area.
Work closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvements of all pressroom operations.
Work safely, abide by and promote established safety policies and procedures. Identify and follow-up on unsafe conditions.
Understand solvent ink as it relates to the process of printing.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to work overtime as required
Self-motivated, punctual, consistent, productive as well as efficient
Must be detail-oriented with little supervision.
At least 2 Years of Flexographic Printing Press Set Up experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20-35 per hour based on experience and knowledge.
Experience:
Hand on: 2 years preferred.
Mark Andy 2200 Press Knowledge is an asset.
Roll to Sheet knowledge is an asset.
