The Jabberwocky Standalone Extruder is now available for public beta testing. This will allow users of other toolhead systems swap their extruders for the one used by Jabberwocky.

The JW-SE has been optimized to work with the bolt pattern found with G2SA/G2 Wrist Watch/Orbiter2 extruders.

This beta assumes you have a Jabberwocky kit or purchased the Jabberwocky Basic kit. It should fully support Dragon Burner and Anthead (with leaf cutter mod). It may support other tool heads but I have not verified this.

Without the cutter and the LDO fans, What is the main advantage of this extruder over others?
- Higher filament contact with the larger hob gears vs BMG
- Dual filament drive
- Native dual sensor support
- Adjustable guidler with anti-squish adjustment for flexible filaments
- better gear reduction ratio that matches or exceeds planetary gearing torque
- Integrated drive gear, like IDGA and RIDGA that prevents eccentric movements
- part of the Jabberwocky eco system that will be compatible with present and future mods and accessories (upcoming Jabberwocky X Changer).

Jabberwocky Standalone Extruder (JWSE) is ready for testing.

This is the same extruder motor found in the Jabberwocky Toolhead, but it is an independent unit that can be used on Dragon Burner, Anthead, and any other toolhead designs that use the same bolt pattern found with the G2 Wristwatch/Orbiter. This will be compatible with Leafcutter or Crossbow cutters.

If you are interested in testing it out, please let me know and I can add you to a testing group on Discord (https://discord.gg/MPZ4cHm9gm)

Secondary Switch based on the design that I made for the ERCF Filament blocks. With a full levered switch, it should not jam up the filament. Completely at the user's control to set the endless spool buffer to whatever length they might want.

I need to work out the specific calculation to give the correct PTFE tube length for the optimal purge or spiral print on a large plate.

This would sit between your filament source and the Angry Beaver extruder and would be wired in series with it.

For anyone doing very long printing, this should end up being the most reliable endless spool setup.

Angry Beaver/JabberwockyXchanger Progress

The Angry Beaver Extruder Motor has been updated to incorporate a DIN mounting clip. Most of the internal structure remains the same for those of you who have tried earlier versions of the drive; this has not changed the filament path. But the sensor and wiring have been changed to allow a dual-sensor buffer for a more reliable endless spool.

The DIN mount has been tested, and the dual rack. I'm just waiting to get some more DIN Rails to mount up and test. This should make for very stable but easy-to-service motors. The top scoop is still a WIP and is still looking for a good balance between flexibility and printability. Because many use a filter system that may need to be removed, the design will also incorporate a filtration option.

After 5 months of testing, revision 82 is now official! Refresh your github and download the latest repository. Lots of changes that makes it much friendlier on untuned printers or looser tolerances. A few more QoL changes, and much more...
Big shout to designer
