Here's how to put summer away before the snow sticks ❄️

1. Mower: run it until the gas is gone and keep leftover fuel in a gas can outside, not in the house.
2. Hose: shut off the outside tap, drain the hose, coil it loosely and hang it indoors.
3. BBQ: give it a clean, turn the gas off, and keep the propane tank upright and outside.
4. Patio furniture and mulch: cover them with a good tarp so they stay dry all winter.

Here's how to stop the drafts before the -30 nights hit 🥶

1️⃣ Find the leaks: on a windy day, run your hand around doors and windows.
2️⃣ Bottom of the door: a door sweep plus a good threshold.
3️⃣ Top and sides: V-strip or closed-cell foam tape (works on the attic hatch too).
4️⃣ Windows you won't open till spring: a shrink-film window kit and a hair dryer.
