Linters won’t save you from AI-generated code. Here are the three patterns we catch in review every week - none of them flagged by the tools most teams already run.

1. Plausible-but-wrong API calls.
The model invents a method that should exist. It compiles in the IDE because the type hints look right. It explodes at runtime because your pinned SDK version doesn’t have it. The model trained on next year’s docs; you’re shipping today’s.

2. Silent error swallowing.
except Exception: pass. The tests still pass. The bug ships. A whole class of failures becomes invisible until a customer surfaces it.

3. Context-blind security defaults.
Permissive CORS. Unparameterized queries. Secrets read from env without validation. The code looks production-grade. It isn’t - it’s average-grade, which is exactly what a model trained on the average internet writes.

Tools catch form. Reviewers protect intent.

Turning AI-generated code into production-ready software requires more than speed — it requires precision.

Last night, we joined the “Tasting not Wasting” event in Zurich together with our clients - an initiative that brings attention to one important idea: enjoying great food while reducing waste and supporting those in need.

The evening highlighted how surplus food can be turned into meaningful experiences, while contributing to organizations that redistribute it to those who need it most. It’s a powerful reminder that small, conscious choices can create real impact.

For us, being there alongside our clients made it even more meaningful. Beyond the conversations and shared moments, it reflects a common mindset - taking responsibility, supporting sustainable initiatives, and contributing to something bigger than ourselves.

We are strengthening our leadership team and setting the course for the next chapter at CREATEQ.

Michael J. E. Jaeggi is taking over as Chief Executive Officer, and Amanda Schwegler joins the Executive Board as Chief Financial Officer. Both bring deep knowledge of CREATEQ – our clients, our teams, and our business.

This step creates clarity in leadership and positions us for continued growth – building on our strengths in precise engineering, embedded teams, and future-ready software.

As part of this transition, Philipp Ringgenberg will be leaving CREATEQ. We thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future.
