As August comes to a close, shifting seasons bring a change in daylight, altering how light hits the Earth around us. 🌒

An armillary sundial tracks the sun's movement across seasons. The shadow cast by the rod moves up and down the equator ring as the sun's declination shifts throughout the year. ☀️ 🧭 📐

Thank you to Álvaro Santiago Mouge for capturing this armillary sundial in 3D with PIX4Dcatch! 📱

Happy !

Honoring history with a detailed 3D model of the Monument of Captain Hapsas (Μνημείο Καπετάν Χάψα) in Chalkidiki, Greece! 🏛️ 🇬🇷

This memorial pays tribute to Dimitrios Tsamis Hapsas and his 68 fighters, who made a heroic last stand during the Battle of Agia Anastasia in June 1821 to buy time for local civilians to reach safety. ✨

Project details:

Data collected: 935 ground images (PIX4Dcatch 📱) + 110 drone images 🚁
Processing: combined & merged in PIX4Dmatic 💻

Great work by Anastasis Spachos, George Spachos, and Themistoklis Chatzitheodosiou! 👏
