When GNSS is used as a primary time reference, protecting timing systems from malformed or manipulated signals becomes critical. Introducing an external GNSS signal‑validation layer ahead of the network timing core allows GNSS‑derived time to be assessed before it is accepted, helping reduce exposure to spoofing, jamming, and subtle time bias attacks.
