Job Opportunity

Vacancy: Deputy Director

Monthly salary: 3,250,000 fcfa, 4 calendar days annual leave per month, and 3 calendar days of R&R every 3 months with 812,500 fcfa R&R allowance each cycle

Duty station: Yaounde

Appointment Type: Permanent

Full Time: 40 hours/week

REQUIREMENTS
-Fluency in French and English
-Graduate level education or equivalent work experience
-Significant experience in insecure/conflict-affected environments with progressive seniority
-Proven writing, editing, and analytical skills and a keen eye for detail – the position entails substantial report editing and reviewing
-Experience working in Cameroon with a demonstrable understanding of the context.
-Experience in staff capacity development and training
-Experience with NGO project management, including donor reporting and relations.
-First-hand experience of crisis management

INSO offers accommodation in INSO’s Guest House or housing allowance, global medical coverage (excluding USA) and AD&D insurance

Job Opportunity

Vacancy: ICT Expert

Monthly salary: 3,189,600 fcfa (inclusive of all allowances)

Duty station: Douala

Duration of contract: 12 months (may be renewed for a similar period subject to funding availability, satisfactory performance and agreed deliverables)

Job Grade: P2

Full Time: 40 hours/week

AFRICAN UNION

REQUIREMENTS
-Candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science/Engineering or related fields with five (5) years of professional relevant work experience of which at least two (2) years should be in the field of meteorological applications

OR

-Master’s degree in the above fields with two (2) years of professional relevant work experience, with demonstrable experience in the use of IT in the meteorology field
-A higher academic qualification will be an added advantage.
-Good experience in database management, production, collection and dissemination of computer and satellite data; advanced experience in processing of computerized processing of meteorological data, management of computer systems, internet and satellite networks
-Background in programming language (Bash, R, Python, NCL, Fortran, Matlab,..), information technology issues.
-Work experience within the ECCAS region will be preferred
-Good knowledge of LINUX and Window operating systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher)
