In November 2023, the Edge series officially embarked on its shipping journey. Leveraging its powerful features, Studio Edge swiftly secured its first order—supplying two 5-channel devices to China News Service, a national media organization in China.
Since its deployment, Studio Edge has been operating with high intensity and stability for nearly two years in the machine room of China News Service. During this period, the project has fully explored and utilized various functions of Studio Edge, including Up/Down Cross Conversion, SDI-to-HDMI format conversion, and optical fiber transmission.
Over the past two years, the Edge product has undergone continuous upgrades and iterations. Both its exterior design and material selection have been significantly optimized. Meanwhile, its functions have been constantly enriched and expanded, and its performance has also seen a substantial improvement, demonstrating even more robust capabilities.
Currently, the user base of the Edge series products continues to expand. In addition to China News Service, it has also garnered the favor of a host of heavyweight clients, such as the IMF, Xinhua News Agency, SPH Media, Arthrex, MGM, and Alibaba.

In 2021, CCTV Finance Channel launched a large-scale media live broadcast event titled "China Granary." This event spanned three months, covering 12 major grain-producing regions with a journey exceeding 10,000 kilometers.

During this challenging live broadcast, the Science Image NDI HD Mini and Studio 4K SH codec participated throughout the entire process, working seamlessly with the NDI all-in-one on-site directing system, LiveMix. This collaboration ensured the smooth ex*****on of on-site program production, remote connections, on-site releases, and live broadcasts. Over the three-month program production period, Science Image's devices operated steadily without any incidents, successfully completing the task.
Due to its outstanding performance, Science Image's codec received high recognition from China Central Television (CCTV) and were officially designated as the essential hardware for NDI-based news gathering and editing.

Old news is not just yellowed archives; it is the seed that inspires continuous technological innovation. Looking back at our development journey, from NDI 5.0 to NDI 6.2, from the introduction of Studio 4K SH to the iterative upgrade of Studio 2, and now to the powerful arrival of Studio Edge, we have always maintained a forward-moving momentum, never pausing for a moment.
