Challenging lake conditions. Real bathymetric survey demonstration.

At Panguitch Lake, USA, the CHCNAV team demonstrated the APACHE 4 Pro USV in a demanding environment with an altitude of around 10,000 ft, wave heights of approximately 0.5 m, strong wind, and no network or RTK corrections.

Using control points and radio communication, the APACHE 4 Pro USV equipped with the HQ-400 MBES supported onsite bathymetric survey operations and helped the customer team experience the complete USV workflow in real conditions.

With local support and hands-on training, the customer team operated the USV for more than two hours and completed multibeam data collection onsite.

500 m² captured in just 10 minutes.

This multi-level coffee shop brought together many typical challenges for indoor reality capture: open spaces, detailed interiors, narrow staircases, and changing lighting conditions.

As FIG Congress 2026 comes to a close, one thing feels clearer than ever: the future of geospatial is becoming more connected, more intelligent, and more collaborative.

Over the past days in Cape Town, we’ve seen strong momentum around integrated workflows, accessible 3D reality capture, uncrewed surveying, and sustainable hydrographic practices. The conversations across sessions, exhibitions, and technical discussions all pointed toward one shared direction turning data into faster, smarter, and more meaningful decisions.

What inspired us most was not only the technology itself, but the people behind it: surveyors, engineers, institutions, partners, and innovators working together to shape the next generation of the industry.

For more than a decade, it has been a place to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and grow alongside the global geospatial community.
