From dense vegetation to urban streets — how does the SpatiX X5 perform when GNSS conditions get challenging?
In the third X5 field test in Colombia, our local partner Vertex Ingeniería tested the X5 under heavy tree cover, with the test showing approximately 25 mm, before moving into an urban environment surrounded by trees, buildings and other potential signal obstructions.

How does the SpatiX X5 perform under tree canopy?
For the second X5 field test in Colombia, our local partner Vertex Ingeniería tested the SpatiX X5 in a challenging environment with dense tree coverage.
During the test, the team moved into shaded areas under tree canopy and checked the X5’s positioning performance in real field conditions. Even with reduced satellite visibility caused by surrounding vegetation, the X5 achieved approximately 2 cm positioning accuracy.

How does X5 perform when the point you need to measure isn’t easy to reach?
In a recent field test in Colombia, our local partner Vertex Ingeniería put the X5’s laser measurement to the test in a riverside environment.
With uneven terrain and the water’s edge making some points difficult to access directly, the team used X5 to aim at the target and capture the point from a more accessible position — without having to place the GNSS receiver directly on it.
It’s a practical advantage for real-world surveying: when the terrain gets difficult, laser measurement gives surveyors more flexibility to get the job done.
