First independent data statistics from Syntun are coming out on this years 2025 11.11. Singles Day shopping festival in China and the growth is encouraging:

- Total e-commerce GMV across all marketplaces (e-commerce & instant delivery) reached 1,695 trillion yuan / USD 237 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%
- Traditional e-commerce sales reached 1,6191 trillion yuan / USD 227 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%
- Instant retail sales reached 670 billion yuan / 9.4 billion , a year-on-year increase of 138.4%.

The "618" shopping festival which marks the second largest annual e-commerce campaign in China just concluded. Total 2025 GMV across all platforms is up +15.2% yoy, according to 3rd party monitoring platform Syntun and generated 855 billion RMB / 119 billion USD. Tmall remains the largest marketplace, followed by JD, Douyin (TikTok), PDD (Temu) and Kuaishou. Instant retail (O2O) deliveries grew +18.7% yoy with Meituan leading ahead of JD and Ele.me.
