MICHAL DOMORÁZEK / Service Technician

How did your journey with Divesoft start?
„I joined Divesoft in 2018. I started by assembling analyzers and accessories, and within a few months, I also began servicing them. As my knowledge grew, so did my responsibilities. Today, I work as a service technician. Every service request that comes to Divesoft passes through my hands, from diagnostics and repair proposals to coordinating the final fix. Customers rarely meet me face to face, but they’ll see my words in their repair quotes.“

When did you start diving?
„I first tried “adventure diving” while traveling abroad, but it wasn’t until I joined Divesoft that diving truly clicked for me. I completed my OWD course and started diving with Tomáš Trnka. In adventure diving, someone always leads the way but it’s only after the course, on that very first independent dive, that you understand what diving really is.“

What do you do when you're not at work?
„Outside of work, most of my time goes to my house and dogs. When I do find time or when there’s an urgent call, I help search for lost and stray animals, and I’m active in the volunteer fire department. These moments help me clear my head and forget the day’s worries.“

Bartlomiej Pitala has become one of the most closely watched names in European cave diving, associated in recent years with pushes in Elefante Bianco, Sintzi Spring, and Matka Vrelo. Publicly, his name is often reduced to the number: 255 m/837 ft in Greece, 287 m/942 ft in North Macedonia, and 292 m/958 ft in Italy. 🤿 🫧

"When I did my first dive on the Liberty, it immediately felt like a second skin. I did not even really have buoyancy problems. The system felt intuitive to me. Since I switched to closed circuit, I basically stayed there. Since 2019, almost all my diving has been on the CCR Liberty. I believe muscle memory, procedures, and familiarity with one system are key if you want to do deep, long dives safely. I do not think switching around all the time helps.

Now I also have the sidemount Liberty. It is the same ecosystem, so if I have a problem with the back unit, the side unit behaves in the same way, uses the same logic, and even many of the same parts. That helps a lot.

Our whole team is now using Liberties, based partly on my example. I helped two of my friends buy them, the ones diving these deep projects with me. So we all know each other’s equipment, we can share spare parts, and it gives the team another level of redundancy and familiarity on expeditions."

„I’ve been with Divesoft since 2013.“

What does your work day look like?
„My day always starts the same way: I turn on my PC and make a cup of coffee. A long workday ends the same way, I shut down my PC. If my working style could be summed up in one word, it would be organization.“

What do you do when you're not at work?
„Outside of work, I recharge through sport. I don’t have a favorite season, I love the changing rhythm of the year.“

How did your journey with Divesoft start?
„My Divesoft journey began fourteen years ago, completely by chance. I was working part-time laying floors during a renovation. A year later, after finishing a technical CNC course, I stepped into a CNC machinist role and that’s where my path with the company truly began.“

When did you start diving?
„I got into diving thanks to an opportunity to work at Divesoft. Daily contact with the products naturally drew me in, first out of curiosity, and eventually as a hobby I decided to stick with. What I enjoy most underwater is the feeling of absolute peace and freedom. Watching underwater life up close has a calming, almost meditative quality for me. Every dive carries something of its own. There’s always a detail, a moment, or a scene that makes it interesting and unforgettable.“

What do you do when you're not at work?
„To reset after work, I turn to what matters most: family, friends, and the hobbies that keep me balanced.“

„I’ve been with Divesoft since 2025, leading Sales, Marketing, and Support.“

What's your role at Divesoft?
„To friends, I describe my role simply: I take care of everything that brings or loses us money. If my working style could be summed up in one word, it would be data. People often recognize me by my grey hair, and what always lifts my mood at work? Coffee. My little comfort zone at Divesoft is my desk by the window, where I can watch the neighbor’s cats.“

What do you do when you're not at work?
„At the end of a long workday, I set my car stereo to full blast and meditate while driving home. Outside of work, I recharge with my family. I’m currently listening to about six science fiction audiobooks. My favorite season is early fall, and for vacations, I love going to the sea.“
