MIC 2026 was about more than presentations. It was about dialogue.

At this year’s ModuleWorks Insider Conference, we brought together CAM vendors, cutting tool vendors, machine tool builders, control makers and other key players from across the manufacturing industry.

In this short reflection, ModuleWorks' CEO & Founder Dr. Yavuz Murtezaoglu and CTO Dr. David Plater share their impressions of the event, from the positive atmosphere and open exchange to the discussions around data, digitalization, MDES and AI.

One key message stood out clearly: AI in manufacturing needs more than ambition. It needs consistent, standardized and reliable data.

Last week, a group of ModuleWorkers joined the TeamWalk Tour Aachen by BIG direkt gesund.

In true Aachen style, the weather couldn’t quite decide between rain and sunshine, but the roughly 9 km route took us mostly through nature, giving us a chance to step away from the usual work routine, talk, walk, and enjoy time together as a team.

A highlight was starting and finishing inside the Tivoli football stadium, it gave the whole event a proper “big event” feeling. And of course, the snacks along the way helped too, especially the infamous local .

Many thanks to for the great organization, the well-planned route, and the positive atmosphere throughout the event. We really enjoyed being part of it and are already looking forward to the next one!
