Prepare to experience our second full-spectrum club night at where OMOB opens another field to explore the innovative yet functional fringes of club music.

(+?)

Will tune the night’s frequencies, guiding mind and body through a zone between vibing with the room and personal ecstasy.

"THE BIOTECH ISSUE": SHORT FILM IS NOW OUT VIA Fact Magazine (!)

And the full release is now available via Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and all other platforms (Links in comments)!

This short film has been in the works for quite long. It accompanies the first release of an open-ended series anonymously issuing innovative music that the artists wouldn't have made public otherwise due to overthinking.

"The Biotech Issue" (preorder via Bandcamp link in bio) Is going to feature a steady heater by Berlin-based modular scientist . We'll conceal which track on the release is his, but one thing to be disclosed is that he engineers his music for maximum impact in the low end - a relict from his times as a UK dubstep producer. The current number one flex in his toolset is to morph between the beats in polyrhythms. The production habitus he's establishing for himself, particularly his move to a hardware-only workflow, makes for a "bass music head's mind in a techno producer's body" type of auditory experience.

OMOB/Moodboard Manifesto:

It's 2020 by now and about time to invest in a format that eases the listener's compulsion to assign the music to a genre. The resulting lack of expectation will enhance the listening experience to be an exploration as opposed to flattening the learning curve.

LP, EP, compilation, playlist, etc. - None of these traditional formats fully match our concept.

With "The Biotech Issue", the first release on this outlet, we aim to prototype a new medium to deliver an assortment of tracks. We are calling it "moodboard".

"The Biotech Issue" (preorder via Bandcamp link in bio) is going to feature an unusual release by Polygonia. We'll conceal which track on the record is hers, but this much may be disclosed: she experiments with mystical and deep soundscapes and acoustic elements - all translating her complex understanding of rhythm and composition from her long and intensive practice with various instruments into a digital language. Lindsey is a wildly gifted interdisciplinary artist with both a valuable auditory and visual foreknowledge. She's a founding member of the munich-based .records label - a respected imprint for all variations of hypnotic sound. → Preorder "The Biotech Issue" via overthinkermob.bandcamp.com

"The Biotech Issue" (preorder via Bandcamp link in comments) Is going to feature a mind bending production by teenage producer Porter Brook. We'll conceal which track on the release is his, but one thing to be disclosed is that his firm focus on razor-sharp sound design makes for a heady blend of breaks and bass. You would give him respect for earning the attention of characters like Moxie, Bruce, Eris Drew, and Roza Terenzi over the last year - The real man of the match though, is his dad who tweets at these characters to thank for their support. Porter Brook takes his name from one of the five rivers than runs through the industrial city of his hometown Sheffield, whose warehouses, factories and melting shops have long proved a fertile breeding ground for tough electronic music. The moniker is an apt one: like the young producer the river flows mostly underground, but still breaks into the light eventually. → Preorder "The Biotech Issue" via the Bandcamp link in the comments

Finally, Overthinker Mob is set to anonymously publish overthought music resting on artists' hard drives. Today the preorder for "The Biotech Issue" starts via Bandcamp (link in comments). It marks the first release of an open-ended series scraping the spectrum for innovative music that the artists wouldn't have made public otherwise. All featured talent is emerging from different backgrounds - yet this moodboard offers a coherent experience for home immersion and club ignition alike.

→ Bandcamp are waiving their fees today, so please take the chance to cop two heaters ahead of the full release!
