Our apprentices have once again shown what strong shoulders can achieve: In just six weeks, 14 apprentices and two interns from different departments at Volkswagen Infotainment brought an impressive VR project to life.

“VWIF Vision” makes the communication between our control units virtually tangible. Get a first glimpse in the video – and experience the project live at upcoming trade fairs and events.

Last Wednesday, it was time again for the company run in Braunschweig, and our six runners from Volkswagen Infotainment took part together. 💙

Together with more than 2,400 participants from over 200 companies, they took on the approximately 4.7 kilometre course. From the very beginning, the positive atmosphere was clearly noticeable. The main focus was on having fun together, motivating each other and enjoying the sense of community. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Looking back, the company run was once again a great event for Team Volkswagen Infotainment. The focus was not on the ranking, but on the shared experience, the fun of running and our strong shoulders, which were truly felt on this day. 💪✨

🚗🇬🇧 Great to welcome a delegation from Sheffield, UK, to Volkswagen Infotainment in Bochum! We were delighted to host Lord Mayor Andrew Sangar, Lady Mayoress Sue Alston, Nik Hamilton, representatives from Sheffield's business community, and colleagues from Bochum Economic Development. Not every driver is a car expert – and diagnosing unusual vehicle noises can be tricky. That’s where acoustic troubleshooting comes in: Drivers can start a diagnostic recording directly from the vehicle. Using built-in microphones (and even connected devices like smartphones), the car captures sounds under real driving conditions and sends them to an AI-powered analysis system. There, a neural network compares the audio with thousands of known vehicle noise patterns. 🚘✨ With every diagnosis, the system learns and becomes even more accurate. By turning subjective noise perceptions into measurable data, AI helps identify potential issues earlier – making vehicle diagnostics more efficient than ever.

Team spirit, ambition, and lots of fun – that's what our runners brought to this year's company run in Bochum. Our colleagues once again proved that Volkswagen Infotainment not only stands for motivation and endurance in everyday work, but also on the running track. 🏃‍♂️💪

From the excitement at the starting line to crossing the finish line together, it was an unforgettable day filled with motivation, great conversations, and shared achievements.

Through her school, our apprentice Ekin had the opportunity to spend two weeks abroad at BWF in Izmir, Turkey. 🌍🏢 Here’s what she experienced:

I was warmly welcomed right from the start, was able to meet many new people and gain exciting insights into different areas of the company. Among other things, I got to know processes in the assistant and sales departments. 📊

The differences and similarities between Germany and Turkey were particularly interesting. In Turkey, for example, there is a one-hour lunch break with free food and regular tea or coffee service. At the same time, similar tools and a comparable corporate structure are used. In addition, employees were picked up daily by shuttle and brought home after work.

In addition to the work, we were also able to discover Turkish culture and visit Ephesus, the House of Mother Mary and the historic clock tower of Izmir, among others. 🏛️

I am incredibly grateful for this experience, which has not only brought me many new insights, but also personal development and more independence. ✨
