.. für die Bäume eine Welle der Erneuerung und des Wachstums. Mit unseren Bewässerungsbänken engagieren wir uns im Regenwassermanagement und schenken den Bäumen eine optimale Wasserversorgung. Bereits jetzt haben wir die ersten 10 Bänke ausgeliefert. In Kooperation mit unserem Partner Humberg erhalten bis zu 40 Bäume im öffentlichen Raum eine innovative, bedarfsgerechte und intelligente Bewässerung.

Hot days are defined as days with a daily maximum temperature of 25 °C or higher. Heatwaves are typically defined as periods of high temperatures over multiple days in a row. (M. Brune, (2016): Urban trees under climate change).
High temperatures cause both humans and trees to react physically. Humans perspire, whereas plants transpire. Fluids leave our bodies through skin pores in order to maintain body temperature and remove specific chemicals from circulation. Trees transpire by transporting water away from their leaves, stems, and flowers, allowing it to evaporate. This movement is aided by lenticels on bark, twigs, and stems, as well as stomates on leaves.
Long, hot summer days put a strain on trees, just as they do on us. Cooling is accomplished through transpiration, which results in water loss, which is troublesome when the water supply is low. As a result, it is critical that we care for trees during such times in order to maintain the environment cool, safe, and healthy.

If the leaves are brown on the edges and are drooping or wilted, your tree may not be getting enough water. On the other hand, green leaves that easily break could mean you’re over-watering. The rule of thumb for established trees is 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter, but it also depends on the time of year and the tree's age in the landscape.
Young trees need more care and attention for the first 1-2 years, while mature trees need watering as little as 1-2 times a month if they are well established.
