Feel like this every time you open your inbox? 😖

Well, here’s the good news, all it takes is six tips to identify a phishing e-mail. Here’s a few things to remember when you’re confronted with a potential phishing e-mail:

👉The message will imply a sense of urgency and play on your emotions, baiting you to act fast or respond immediately.

👉Cybercriminals are capitalizing on recent trends and events, so keep an eye out for ‘phishy’ headlines in your inbox

👉 If there any links, hover over to see the exact URL. This should give you a clue as to the authenticity of the mail

There’s a bunch more tips and examples that can help in spotting a phishing mail and you can find it all here: https://hubs.ly/Q01rDqng0

So, the next time something unfamiliar and urgent appears in your inbox, you know what to do!

Recently got an email about some package to be picked up? One you never ordered in the first place!

There’s a high probability it’s a scam with someone phishing for personal information, access to your company’s data or planning multiple extortion.

The best way to combat this? Learn how to detect their tricks through Phishing simulations

Phishing simulations are an excellent way to do this, but they need to be structured and approached in the right way, which we outline in our report below.

Read it now: https://hubs.ly/Q01hyWgB0

There’s plenty more phish in the sea, so train your team to keep an eye out and stay alert for phishing scams!

You know it's serious when even Dwight Schrute begins to make sense...

In an iconic scene in The Office where Jim adopts the identity of Dwight as a prank, we hear a line that has stayed with us forever: ‘Identity theft is not a joke, Jim!’

And while we normally never agree with Dwight, and it pains us to do so, on this occasion we kind of have to agree.

As the use of social media and other digital channels increases, so do the chances of being targeted by cyber criminals. So, what can you do as an organization to protect your employees and clients? Here’s some ideas:

👉 Ensure you’re GDPR compliant: Having protocols and structures in place to process and safely store the data of individuals puts you in a strong position

👉 Strong passwords are your best bet, the more complex the better. Protect your employees by offering them a (secure) password manager license.

👉 Make sure you provide a next-level awareness training (We can help with this 😉) to your workforce so that they learn how to be mindful of what emails they click on or which calls they answer - cybercriminals use both as their first point of obtaining information.

As always, stay alert and stay safe!
