📣Let Images Speak!!! 📣
Why do we always want to put so many words on things? It seems that as soon as we learn how to write and read, we totally forget how much we can say with drawings. Until we play taboo 🤐 But why is it, that from first grade on we start to rely on words? 🖊️
Images so often speak louder than words, as they, like a mindmap, show many words at once. If we take a look at this Outfit i.e. we see so many things at once! We see the different items, from which category they are, which color they are, if the neckline is round or a V, if the sleeves are long or short, if the shoes have high heels or are flat, if many things fit into the handbag or just the mobile and keys. 👜
But that isn't all! We see, if the outfit has an uplifting mood, is playful or elegant, or totally formal and distant. So you can see if what it expresses matches what you feel or want to show. 😎
You get all this information at once and your response is triggered in milliseconds. Tinder is a great example of how your eyes and brain and emotions react instantly and you know right away if you like the person in the image or if you don't. 💑
This also happens right away, when you see an outfit!
Another advantage of working with images is that you get independent of your language skills. 💬Images are international. You don't need to check in google translator how you say sleeves in German, French, Chinese or Arabic. The image of the sweater shows it for you!
You see, images are important because they transmit so much information at once! That is why our recommendation engine is based on them, not on words. 💡But as in every good infographic we like to use words to add more information (Is it organic? From what kind of material? Secondhand? What price? What size?), to make it complete. So we can cover all aspects of the products shown!✔️
