When you can't show your previous work from working in an agency or different companies it's - understandably - hard to earn someones trust in yourself and your work. In order to showcase my skills and earn your trust, I decided to work on some fictional projects.
At the beginning of this project, I started with the idea of creating my very own fictional business - a café. I chose a name, then created multiple ideas for a logo and picked the final design. When starting a new business it's important to be able to leave something for potential customers, just like a business card. And so I created the design for this café's business card.
To continue you will obviously want your customers to know what they can get at your place. So I started designing some different kinds of menus, and finally chose the one I liked most.
It's very important to have a web presence, such as a nicely designed website. On your website you can for example share the story behind your place and brand. You can also provide useful informations like where you're located or some contact informations and also share your menu in a digital form. I personally search for places and look at their websites to see what they offer and to see if I would like it there.
