𝐀𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐰𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
To mark International Women’s Day, we hosted an exhibition in our Munich office highlighting ten women whose contributions helped shape the automotive world, achievements that have too often remained in the background.
Our employees could discover their stories through posters and podcast episodes accessible via QR codes throughout the exhibition. Stories like Margaret A. Wilcox, whose ideas contributed to the heating system used in cars today, Mary Anderson, who patented the first windshield wiper in 1903, or Florence Lawrence, who developed an early signaling system for turning and braking long before modern indicators existed.
For us, this initiative was not only about looking back at the history of our industry, but also about reaffirming our commitment to diversity, equal opportunities, and an inclusive engineering culture.
As a small gesture of appreciation, we also shared a gift with the women at Technica who contribute every day to shaping the future of Software Defined Vehicles.
Because building the future of mobility requires diverse perspectives, talents, and voices, and at Technica, we believe that diversity makes us stronger.
