MBD for Ansys powered by RecurDyn ! (English)
FunctionBay GmbH is glad to announce that starting from now the new software product called "MBD for ANSYS - powered by RecurDyn" is officially released and ready for download.
"MBD for ANSYS powered by RecurDyn” stands for a fully embedded version of RecurDyn/Professional within ANSYS Workbench, enabling ANSYS users to comfortably perform Multibody-Dynamics simulations without having to leave their familiar ANSYS
Workbench environment. Target of this software is on the one hand to simulate and verify the functional motion behavior of mechanical assemblies and on the other hand to calculate and transfer dynamic loads to ANSYS WB for subsequent stress analyses on component level.
Compared to the overall functionality of RecurDyn/Professional „MBD for ANSYS powered by RecurDyn“ clearly has some limitations, but the software comprises a well-tailored set of MBD - elements (joint libraries, force elements, 3D contacts …) allowing even complex
MBD - simulations. In case that once in a while some more special functionality is needed, the already generated models can be directly transferred to RecurDyn/Professional without any loss of data. Within the RecurDyn/Professional environment all other RecurDyn/Toolkits
(flexible bodies, chain/belt modules etc.) are available for further processing of the original MBD for ANSYS model.
In order to support the product launch, FunctionBay has started a special promotion activity until the end of this year for companies, universities and polytechnic institutes. With this promotion activity FunctionBay hopes to raise a lot of interest among the ANSYS users community to explore the benefits of using a Multibody-Dynamics software. Promotion Activity 2015 for MBD for ANSYS® - powered by RecurDyn.
In order to support the product launch, FunctionBay has started a campaign which allows to acquire „MBD for ANSYS powered by RecurDyn“ paid-up licenses solely for the annual maintenance price of the software which is 1,980.00 €. After one year the maintenance can always be extended for another year just by paying the above mentioned price. This campaign is limited to the end of this year. By 2016/January/1st the list price of one paid-up license will be set to 9,900.00 € (+ 20% maintenance).
Of course, FunctionBay offers also a promotion price for universities and polytechnic institutes which allows you to rent 1-25 „MBD for ANSYS powered by RecurDyn licenses“ for a duration of 5 years for an amount of €2.500,00.
