Swapping Screens for the Forest: The Ibsen Photonics Forest Run/Walk 2026!
Last week, we stepped away from our desks and into the forest for the Ibsen Forest Run/Walk, an orienteering event that brought our team together in a unique and refreshing way.
For those unfamiliar, orienteering is a navigational sport that challenges participants to navigate diverse terrain using only a map and compass. Beyond physical activity, it emphasizes strategy, teamwork, and precision - qualities that translate seamlessly into our professional lives.
As first-time participants for many of us, the event offered the flexibility to run or walk, with a shared focus on fostering collaboration and sharpening our problem-solving skills. It was more than just a day outdoors, it was an opportunity to strengthen connections, enhance teamwork, and experience the value of working together in a new setting.
We are especially grateful to our colleague Lenette Stenholt Nielsen, who has previously won championships across various divisions, and to our CEO Henrik Skov Andersen, an active participant in the sport, for sharing their passion and expertise. Their leadership made the event a success, and we are already looking forward to making this an annual tradition.
