This year at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam, we'll be kitting out Sony's booth with a stunning 7.1.4 immersive audio system fueled by Dynaudio Acoustics M-series MkII.

This impressive setup, which also incorporates the Delta series of amplifiers and Control 02, will consist of three M2MkII left, centre, and right speakers, eight MF15 for surround and ceiling channels, and two mighty MS18 on subwoofer and LFE duties.

What appears to be holes in our driver units are actually not holes, but small dents. And they serve a purpose - or really it's three different purposes that have to do with both assembly, durability and sound. 😀👌

LYD 7 came out on top in a dedicated monitor shootout between 5 different contestants, which caused The Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen to install 16 pairs of LYD 7 studio monitors for the students to use when they write, record and produce their music.

However, Dynaudio is not exactly a new studio monitor brand to RMC, as they have had BM15 speakers in their studio for many years before choosing LYD ofr the smaller rooms. 😀👌
