Today I had the pleasure of visiting a true Danish high-end audio sanctuary, a remarkable system curated by Stylus Audio Denmark, featuring a collection of truly outstanding components.
What impressed me most was how effortlessly everything came together. The system delivered music with an exceptionally low noise floor, no listening fatigue, even at high levels, and an incredibly controlled presentation.
The bass was tight, layered and impactful, yet always remained perfectly integrated, never stepping on the mids or highs.
We also made a small comparison between the *
MSB DAC combination and the LampizatOr Pacific 2. While the MSB was clearly a step ahead, it was fascinating to hear just how much a source of Innuos Nazare calibre can bring out of a DAC — a great reminder that the digital front end is every bit as important as the DAC itself.
A huge role in achieving this level of performance was played by resonance control, careful cable matching, and, of course, room acoustics.
And my favourite tweak? Grounding.
Building a truly coherent system takes time. Components need to be matched, optimized and allowed to work together as one.
But when everything finally clicks into place, nothing stands between you and the music.
