Public sector design doesn't have to be boring! 😮‍💨

When the estonia.ee project from EIS landed on our desks, our hearts definitely skipped a beat. It was a rare chance to sculpt the digital face of an entire nation. No pressure, right?

Our mission was to kill the stiff-government-site stereotype once and for all. We designed a website that is clean, intuitive, and packed with enough personality to prove that public sector design can actually be world-class.

As Kuldmuna's jury lead Nils Kajander put it – it’s a "brilliant silver" that manages to be playful without losing its edge.

We cracked open a silver egg at Kuldmuna for estonia.ee in the website category. Not going to lie… we’re feeling pretty egg-cellent about it! 🪩💅

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this project happen. Estonia-level ambition, a lot of awesome people, and many, many decisions later – here we are! 💛

We created a website for our country. Yup, you read that right! 🇪🇪

Working on estonia.ee is a little different from your usual web project. After all, it’s the digital front door to Estonia. No pressure, right?

The goal was to take a huge amount of information and make it clear, calm, and actually pleasant to use. No unnecessary fireworks, just the kind of smart, thoughtful digital experience Estonia is known for.

The result is a modern design system that brings clarity to complexity and creates a strong, unified foundation for Estonia’s government websites going forward! ✨

→ CrystalSpace – A sharp new identity built around reliability, precision, and serious high-tech energy.

→ cups – Our EstroOrdinary cups got a bold color upgrade and our iconic cat mascots slipped into something a little more fabulous.
