During a short trip to Jacob van den Borne’s farm, what struck us wasn’t the machinery. It was the fact that the farm itself seems smarter than most of the upright-walking humans I meet in boardrooms.
We are conditioned to see a field as land to be conquered. Jacob sees it as a living, breathing system in constant conversation: soil, weather, nutrients, crops. Here, machines are partners.
At Green Growth, we share this perspective: when technology meets the deep, lived knowledge of the farmer, it ceases to be mere data and becomes something far more substantial – it becomes wisdom.
