The SP140 Reverb by Iconic Instruments features 5 unique 140-style Steel plates based on famous examples.

It has a unique Density control that makes the reverb signal more transparent another way to take the edge off reverb without just leveling or EQing.

Send Width and Output Width controls plus Reverb Pan, give you more stereo flexibility. Plus it’s compatible when mono-ized.

Reverb times go up to 6 seconds and down to 20ms, much shorter than the original.

The Drive control with filtering and pre/post switch.

NEW! The Model 660 X Exciting Compressor is an accurate virtual 660-style vari-mu compressor with some very unique features. In 1963, engineer Lawrence Horn introduced the “Exciting Compressor” technique to the Pop world, which involved boosting a large amount of 5-6kHz, then crushing that signal with a 660 compressor and bringing it back up on the board in parallel with your original, unprocessed track. It was a favorite on vocals and drums, and it was used on some of the most classic tracks of the 1960’s.

Carefully modeled from an original unit, the Model 660 X Compressor captures and recreates that sound. In addition to the classic 660 controls - Input Gain, Threshold and Time Constant switch, along with Pre-, Post- and Gain Reduction metering - the Model 660 X has an “Excitement” section that allows you to boost anywhere from 1 to 10kHz up to 12dB, coupled with a Mix control that lets you operate the effect in parallel.
We’ve added a separate Drive control to add the classic subtle color you get from boosting the Input Gain of the original unit, or minimize the Drive for crystal clear, smooth vari-mu signal crushing.

Additionally, we’ve added a Knee control to mimic the classic “soft knee” vari-mu compression, or reduce it for a more aggressive “hard knee” effect.
And finally, we’ve added an Output level for convenient level-matching and a Power switch to audition your results.

The GF240 Gold Foil Plate Reverb is a faithful AU/VST recreation of five units of a deep and haunting gold foil plate reverb, first introduced in 1971. Following the success of the famous 140 steel plate reverb, the model 240 was released, featuring a gold foil plate with a distinct character all its own, and sporting a much smaller form factor. Like its real world analog, the Iconic Instruments GF240 Gold Foil Plate Reverb is a followup to the Iconic Instruments SP140 steel plate reverb (also modeled after the the original 140 ‘Steel Plate’ reverb), and both plugins share the exact same layout and feature set.

GF240 includes classic functionality, like a pre-delay control, send width, a filter section with high- and low-pass filters, as well as a shapable node, tail length control from a full 6 seconds down to a mere 20ms (much shorter than an analog unit) and a mix control with a convenient solo switch to preview only the reverberation.
But like the SP140, the GF240 Gold Foil Plate Reverb also sports some new twists to the original, like a 5-position density control that ranges from full-bodied plate sounds to a light, transparent wash without reducing the fullness of the reverb. Additionally, the Drive feature gives you a classic 70’s-style distortion that you can apply pre- or post-reverb, and the high- and low-pass drive set screws allow you to place the distortion exactly where you want in the frequency spectrum. And finally, choose from a list of twenty carefully crafted presets that range from classic references to modern, or even abstract examples.

ParametrEQ is an accurate software recreation of the original Detroit passive parametric EQ, which was used on countless all-time classic Pop, R&B and Soul tracks from the 1960’s and 70’s. This unit was a custom modified and overbuilt version of the original Langevin EQ-252A (also sold under Cinema Engineering and Altec brand names), which was originally designed for use in film and broadcast.

There are 7 bands that can be boosted or cut by -/+8dB, just like the original. Each of the frequencies of the 7 bands is musically significant to target key parts of your source track. But what really makes this unit unique is the very particular variable Q for each of the 7 bands that ranges from wide and subtle at minor adjustment settings to much sharper at extreme settings, meaning you can dial in a smooth, subtle node or push it further for precise detail and presence.

Like the original modified Detroit unit, there is a -/+8dB master Gain, and an added Power switch. But unlike the original hardware unit, every parameter is fully automatable in your DAW for precise control and adjustment throughout your tracks.

“You might think being locked into specific frequencies would be limiting, but the smart design of this classic parametric EQ unit makes it usable in practically every situation where you need EQ.” - Michael Vecchio, Founder, Iconic Instruments

Key Features
Classic color adjustment that ranges from subtle to punchy, based on how far each control is pushed
True to the original variable Q with each of the 7 bands
Master Gain control and Bypass switch
