Grid Studio 2.1 — a massive update with redesigned camera calibration workflows, delivering precise calibration results, 16x faster! One button push to start the new automated capture, intelligent lens modelling, and spatial wall calibration in a single continuous pass, with visual feedback as you progress calibration in our 3D visualiser.

🆕 Grid Recorder — an independent capture and replay application for camera and tracking pipelines. Records raw UDP streams byte-for-byte alongside synchronised SDI video, preserving the exact relationship between image and data down to the millisecond. Run calibrations offline, rehearse content, and debug pipelines without taking up valuable studio time.

AR-51 Grid Extension — markerless skeleton tracking with per-person ID recognition at 9ms latency. Lighting, PTZ cameras, and content triggers that respond to specific talent, without the hardware.

OpenTrackIO Grid Extension — native support for the SMPTE RIS OSVP open tracking standard.

PIXERA Grid Extension and SP Lens Playback — timeline, layer, and content control from Grid Studio, plus native lens profile and camera alignment playback inside PIXERA via our ongoing partnership with the team AV Stumpfl. See us both in a joint collaborative demo space at the show.

RoboSense Airy Grid Extension — live 3D LiDAR point cloud data in SP Grid. Zone-based spatial triggers for any environment, with no wearables and no bespoke infrastructure.

WBLT harnesses SP to bring unique interactivity to the pitch for DAZN Infinity League ⚽️

WBLT is a full-service events company with a reputation for pushing the boundaries of live experiences through technology. They contracted bright studios to help take fan engagement to new levels 📈

In 2025, their plans for increased interactivity and immersive qualities came to life. Central to achieving this was SP Grid.

SP Grid’s unifying data and control tool proved pivotal in real-time tracking, lighting integration, and the deployment of dynamic visual overlays during the exciting event, held at Munich’s BMW Park Stadium.

SP Grid assists SAP Garden spectators in becoming engaged like never before 👀

SAP Garden was designed to revolutionise the experience of fans of EHC Red Bull München Hockey and FC Bayern München Basketball teams, through innovative and interactive technology.

bright studios were tasked with making the arena an interactive playground that would allow the spectators to be actively involved in the experience of watching a match.

To achieve this, bright! required a workflow solution to unify data tracking, content and lighting and, in turn, build a series of interactive games and events. Enter: SP Grid 🙌

SP Grid acts as the core control platform for all interactivity. Tracking data from Lights, UWB chips built into the players’ clothing, hockey pucks or basketballs is all processed in SP Grid, which smooths and refines it.

Then, SP Grid sends commands and tracking data to media servers, Unreal Engine and the lighting console to trigger animations and lighting effects. This transforms the arena for fans, making everything from pucks to zambonis interactive 🤝

To accompany the new Grid Studio 2.0 release, we also launched a brand new webshop so you can buy credits on your own terms, whenever you need them. Pair that with the new Credit License Manager, and you get clear, real-time visibility of exactly what you hold and can scale up Credits "Time" and "Amounts" as needed.

To go with it, we've released new manuals for all released SP Grid Platform Products and Software. Whether you're onboarding as a new Grid Programmer or getting a project ready for production, it's built to get you up to speed fast.

To access Grid Studio 2.0 you'll need to create a New SP Grid Account.

It's a straightforward process, and our team is ready to support you through account setup, credit transfers, or any questions about upgrading an active project. You can then access Grid Studio 2.0 in the download menu of your new account.

Already using SP v1 or previous Grid Studio releases?

Legacy account licensing access is still available via the links on our Buy page, so nothing goes dark while you make the move to Grid Studio 2.0 but you will need a new SP Grid account and to have your existing credits ported by the team, if applicable.

SP Grid is the secret sauce for Vivid Studios transformation of AI-themed restaurant, Woohoo 🍝

From the beginning ideation and experimentation phase, lead engineer Yuri Stranyov built everything within SP Grid.

Yuri explains, “The whole logic was created in Grid Studio initially, where we built the workflows and set up state machine calendars.”

He continues, “It is convenient, and the user experience for me setting it up is very much based on human logic. You connect things together, and it works. If it doesn’t work, it’s easy to change things, and if you need to make something work together, programming is much easier than you would expect.”
