Aribau Grotesk Variable is now available!
https://emtype.net/fonts/aribau-grotesk

Born from the intersection of geometric and grotesque typefaces, Aribau Grotesk combines low contrast and generous proportions with traits of early 20th-century American gothics, such as open counters and a double-storey ‘g’. Its clean figures, circular dots, and balanced rhythm give the family an affable and contemporary look. If you’ve already purchased the family, the variable version is a free update.

Buick Custom Type Family
—
In 2022, at Leo Burnett contacted us to develop a custom type family for , General Motors’ premium automotive brand. Geogrotesque Sharp was chosen as the typeface best suited to the brand. However, to meet all of Buick’s needs, a complementary text face was also required, since Sharp is slightly too angular for extended reading. We therefore turned to Camber, another of our typefaces, which shares a similar spirit with Geogrotesque but has a softer, less angular character. Both Geogrotesque and Camber share common origins, as well as a similar concept and structure. If not sisters, they could certainly be considered cousins. We then developed the new family as a whole, customising details in each typeface and dividing the styles into Headline and Text. The resulting font family gives Buick’s overall communication a modern and harmonious voice.

Ciutadella Rounded Typeface
https://emtype.net/fonts/ciutadella-rounded

Ciutadella Rounded is not only a font with soft corners, it has a real rounded terminal across all the weights. It was a challenge to achieve a rounded effect in close counters characters, especially in the heaviest weights where there is less space available to accommodate the round ending. Suitable to be used across a wide range of applications, from identity systems to publications.

Ciutadella Typeface
https://emtype.net/fonts/ciutadella

Ciutadella was originally commissioned by Mario Eskenazi’s studio. It is a versatile geometric sans serif, a simple, clean and direct family. Its power resides in an overhaul simplicity that reflects an “open” personality, easily suitable to be used across a wide range of applications, from identity systems to publications. Although it has been conceived to be used as a display typeface, it performs well in intermediate length texts mostly because of some specific characteristics such as the alternate two-story ‘a’.
