Halfway between a science fair and an art festival, Maker Faires are a type of event that takes place in more than 200 cities around the world. Local, state and international projects of all kinds around digital culture and the creative use of technologies endorsed by the prestigious American publication Make:.

Our Fair is part of this community and was created with the intention of bringing the latest technological vanguard to the local social fabric and to be a driving force for change in the environment through active and inclusive participation.

Apologies for the silence of the past two weeks, but we've been immersed in the dark catacombs of coding. The good news is will include presets with basic functions to facilitate plug&play start-up. Like this example, where we show how a single servo automatically connects to our software and can be managed from a gaming pad.

We had some people asking about the eyes we showcased last week on our "Who wants the weekend to arrive" post https://fb.watch/bn4q0PSAEO/

As you might know, one of Botszy's three legs is senior animatronic designer Javier Coronilla (www.robotscancry.com). Here is his answer:

“I ordered from Cantor and Nissel Ltd, an English company specializing in the manufacture of contact lenses, prosthetic eyes, and eyes for special effects, which regularly worked with the Jim Henson Creature Shop during its London stage. After the closure of the creature shop in London, CN is usually commissioned to manufacture the eyes in many of the film projects that require animatronics.

To make an order you will have to send them a technical diagram with the measurements of the eyes and an artwork for the pupil. It requires work and they are expensive but the quality is obvious.”
