The practise of Kintsugi served as the basis of the design, which is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object rather than something to disguise; to embrace the flawed or imperfect. This can be seen as a rationale for keeping an object around even after it has broken and as a justification of kintsugi itself, highlighting the cracks and repairs as simply an event in the life of an object rather than allowing its service to end at the time of its damage or breakage.

Insurance is essentially a luxury. There is no material element about having insurance and in most instances, it won't have significant utility. However, it is something that we must (or are strongly advised to) have. It's something that comforts us and keeps us safe in the times when we would be the most vulnerable. It gives us a peace of mind.

My final piece is basically a homophonous play-on-words of the expressions: peace of mind and piece of mind.

Water is becoming an increasingly precious resource. Considering that it's crucial to our existence, we are neglecting our responsibility to protect our world and the sustenance it provides us.

There's a chilling irony that some of the biggest problems we have is a LACK of water and an OVERABUNDANCE of water; both largely attributed to global warming. I want to draw a contrast between the two phenomena.
