The new year brings in a new law to have a V16 Emergency Beacon in place of the triangles in the case of breakdown with your vehicle. If you are stopped by the police/Guardia civil and asked to produce the V16 you would be heavily fined if not able to produce it or if you have it but it is not registered.

This is where we can help. Don't hesitate to call in to see us if you need assistance in setting up and registering your V16.

The 3G network is ending as carriers shut down the service, with many global shutdowns scheduled for the end of 2025, to repurpose the frequencies for faster 4G and 5G networks. This will impact devices that rely solely on 3G, including some phones, tablets, security alarms, and medical devices, potentially cutting off their ability to make calls, use mobile data, or connect to emergency services without a 4G or 5G connection. Users need to upgrade to a 4G or 5G compatible device to maintain connectivity.

All you folks out there with standard basic handsets (not smartphones) used just for emergency or SMS from the hospital etc. BE AWARE!!
