Another wonderful session last night with these lovely ladies. It's so good when you work for yourself to get out of the house and connect with other people experiencing the same things you are IRL.

Came away feeling energised to revisit existing clients for leads and also to launch a separate website for dbd publishing as that side of the business has been growing and I have not really been shouting about it. Watch this space for more details.

Suzanne runs these FoundHER group(s) for business women — and while it's tempting to call them "local," attendees actually travel from as far as La Zenia, Calabardina, San Juan de los Terreros, Turre, Los Gallardos well as right here in Mojacar to be part of it.

I (her husband) might be biased about how great Suzanne is, but that's not really the point — it's the connection with other business women and the fresh insight that the ladies walk away with. Suzanne shared that one lady summed it up perfectly after this session:

"I wanted to thank every lady I met today. It has been a pleasure to meet such sharp and clever women. You are all amazing! 💙"

Sitting on a Sunday musing over what a week it's been. So much to update on that's why I have not been as active on Facebook.

I will start sharing as and when things are finished but by September I expect to have finished and published 3 books on Amazon for clients.

The first is an LGBT+ love story across the centuries. Another is a warm and fun children's book and the third is going to be a beautiful coffee table book classic about .... (more later).

I'm also working on a memoir for a very special client that should release in the autumn. Not to mention a Spanish/English book for those that want to get by in everyday life but don't have the inclination to learn everything. Oh and maybe another Ruby & Rex (when Dad Tom Thompson) finds the time to sit down and pull his thoughts together 🫶

In addition, I am loving the partnership with STYLE Mojácar Español & English. It's such a breath of fresh air to work with Ann Michelle Webber who is passionate about what she does.

Working on some beautiful banners at the moment and can't wait to share them as well.

I've got a couple of irons in fires but I just wanted to put it out there that I am now booking in projects for September and October. So if you need support on one of these then do get in touch. Is this you?

Yes, that’s me on Mojácar playa with my dogs.

No, the giant polka-dotted fish aren’t real. 😂

But that’s rather the point.

I hate having my photo taken and feel even worse on video, so perhaps AI doesn’t need to create a “perfectly real” version of me.

Perhaps I can just lean into the weird and wonderful instead.

Unapologetically me... but not me.

AI gives small businesses the chance to create ideas that would once have been far too complicated or expensive. The trick is not to churn out the same stock-style content as everyone else.

It still needs personality. It still needs a point. And it still needs a human to think:

“What if we put enormous fish on Mojácar playa?”

I’m going to have some fun exploring what else might be possible.

Does the fact that it is obviously AI spoil it,or add to the fun?

I'm a walking, talking cliché.

You know the type, the type that spends their life taking pride in their day job and then never gets around to doing the same for themselves. Think - chefs, decorators etc etc.

So I've been updating my website recently and have introduced a promotional video on the home page.
