I cannot believe it's been a decade already.
We founded Playmore Games 10 years ago with a vision of bringing tabletop gaming to a whole new level. We jumped in with both feet by publishing a game called Race to the North Pole and handling every step from design, playtesting, finalizing, manufacturing, shipping and distribution to marketing, sales, and customer support. The game did quite okay and in the end we printed just over 10k copies. More importantly, it gave us many valuable lessons about how the tabletop game industry works, and gave us opportunities to get out there and network with the industry.
And I must say I was not expecting an industry to be this welcoming, mentoring, guiding, helping, and inspiring! This easily applies to the vast majority of people I've encountered in our industry. We immediately felt like we were home!
With the industry's help - both guidance and financial - we created DIZED, the ultimate board game companion. By the way, "DIZED" is an abbreviation of DIgitaliZED, and a wordplay on dice. We landed on the name after securing the dot-com domain name for just a few hundred bucks.
We've always had quite a big vision of what our platform can grow to be. We're not quite there yet, but for the past few years I have more and more really started to feel that we are on the way there. Our user amounts have been doubling every year and we're on a path of reaching a million unique users this year! DIZED Tutorials are producing brilliant learning experiences and we have already helped hundreds of thousands of players getting into new games. We're getting phenomenal feedback every day and some of it is even quite touching:

I also feel like expressing my gratitude. The only reason we've gotten this far is because of the amazing people who have gotten involved. The players who have supported our platform, industry operators who have trusted us with their contents, investors who have made creating this financially possible, the government of Finland supporting startups to go after global dreams, everyone who has mentored and inspired us forwards, the loved ones around us who somehow keep understanding our passion for tabletop games, and all those important people I should be mentioning here but am not realizing to do so. Though I must also thank our operative team and content creators: Thank you, thank you, thank you! Without you there would be no DIZED. I am humbled. I am grateful. And I'm excited!
