Heat doesn’t always have to travel far 🏫

Employee spotlight - Aleksi

As Chief Financial Officer at MinersLoop, Aleksi is responsible for the company’s finances, profitability, and financing. The company has strong growth targets, and Aleksi focuses his work on developing the growth strategy and monitoring its implementation, as well as ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial management. 
Aleksi’s passion for the data center business stems from his belief that data centers can play a significant role in growing and developing our country’s energy production by offering flexible demand for electricity, but also from a heat production perspective, by utilizing the thermal energy generated by the data center locally.  In his free time, Aleksi enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing or hunting, and spending time with his family and newborn son.

HeatLoop brings waste heat utilisation down to the level of an individual property. The system is installed alongside the existing heating setup to support it and reduce energy consumption – the heat generated by computing is used right where it is produced, in properties with a continuous heating demand.

Katariina is responsible at MinersLoop for coordinating the day-to-day operations of financial administration and serves as the link between the company and the accounting firm.

Katariina also holds the role of HR specialist, making sure that everyday work runs smoothly. She is responsible for everything from employment contracts and handbooks to making sure that any questions people have are answered quickly.

In addition to these responsibilities, Katariina is also part of MinersLoop’s marketing team.
