How was your week?
A quiet one, IT wise for me.
Delivered two laptops back and did a remote health check.
Garden wise, a bit more hectic. The management now has all her tubs planted with geraniums, so the summer watering now starts.

My customer issues
Sorry for the rant last week, but sometimes I get a bit cheesed with people.
Most of my customers are lovely and grateful for the help, it's only occasionally I get one who really cheeses me off (incase you hadn't noticed)
Anyway he did come back and paid, but never admitted liability. Still, although I'm a bit out of pocket, I'm shot of him.

My sales of new Chuwi Computers.
I'm afraid I will no longer be offering this as a general service. Though most of you are happy with my solutions, I have one customer, who managed to fall over his power cable, breaking that. So I lent him Lola's power supply while he tried to source a replacement. Within two weeks he managed to kill a section of keys on his keyboard (I can only assume he dropped something on the keyboard, as my Chuwi's are fine and none of you, that have them have had problems). So, I lent him Lola's Chuwi (been working fine for 2 years), swapped his hard disk into it and sent him away happy, for a few days. He managed to kill Lola's screen, laptop works fine but the screen is dead but the HDDMI port works for an external monitor.
Now you tell me, does this reek of mal-use? Especially considering his original laptop died due to a glass of wine spillage that fried the motherboard.
The problem is, Chuwi don't have an EU repair centre (I didn't know that), so repairs have to be sent back to Hong Kong :-(.
Anyway, I've sent him away with a high end Asus laptop, which he seems happy with. That's when communication stopped.
So, now he has Lola's laptop with a dead screen + power supply, I have his buggered one. He has the Asus and I'm out of pocket, again with no communication.
Why do some people just take the p**s?
I have lovely customers, as you can see from my reviews, I help them and they're generally happy.
This bloke I can't please, he breaks things, doesn't admit to it and leaves me with the mess.
This is something I can't sustain, I make €20 on a Chuwi, so you guys get a reasonable machine at a good price.
It really isn't worth the hassle. It is a shame that the few can ruin something for the rest.
So I am happy to advise on new purchases, but will only have a limited stock of refurbished devices for emergency purposes only.
I hope you understand.
Now I don't normally "name & shame" but if this doesn't get resolved in the next week I will, as a warning to others

How have you all been this week?
The week started quiet for me, sorted a printout for a technophobe customer, a couple of Magbox issues. Wednesday did an Android phone training hour. Thursday a Uk remote health check and another phone issue sorted. Friday sorted a lady with Apple issues then saw a lady in Salviac with a dead laptop, it was well dead so a long night and sorted a replacement and delivered today, she seems happy but testing, also health checked her desktop, that hadn't had any love since 2015, but she did give us a lovely bottle of wine for my late night efforts.
Unfortunately it wouldn't take a RAM upgrade so did the best I could, definitely better than it was. Also sorted an old Macbook email issue, just got to deliver that back on Monday.
Otherwise been a productive week in the garden, first potato showing, the rhubarb happy in it's new bed and the bean bed ready for planting, just got to crack on with the raspberry bed this week.
Getting tomato plants of a size to look at planting out ina week or so.
Ok, enough of my stuff, what have you been doing, apart from the obvious backups and AV scans?

You wouldn't believe how many of my customers throw this problem at me. The fact that systems remember them is no excuse for not making a note of them. It will bite me on the bum not you when there is a problem! So please make a note when you change them
