On the 1st of June 2021, our company Nextflow Software was acquired by Siemens Digital Industries Software, where our offering expands the Simcenter™ software portfolio, part of Siemens’ Xcelerator™ portfolio of software and services.
The addition of our technology to the Simcenter portfolio enables analysts to leverage the complementary nature of meshless and mesh-based solvers to capitalize on each of their strengths, opening the door to new applications that were previously difficult to address.

SPHERIC, Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics rEsearch and engineeRing International Community, stimulates research and facilitates exchange of ideas among developers, users of methodology and related simulation approaches.

The 32nd SPHERIC newsletter has been released! We have contributed to the writing of this newsletter: ✹ “The rise of SPH-flow software, proof that the SPH method is well established in the ” ✹

In today’s fast-paced environment, engineers need to leverage and more in their process. Each application has its own set of complex issues. Therefore, each application requires a dedicated approach.
Some believe that the perfect simulation tool must solve all design problems, we don’t. We know that ideal tools are ideal for a given design problem. They result from the combination of advanced specific solvers and strong, technical case-specific expertise. For years, we have been developing case-specific, issue-solving-oriented solutions, based on non-standard solvers and highly diverse . In 2021, our solver SPH-flow enables and analysis of complex applications with transient flows and motion, accelerating time to results and enabling innovation.

Due to climate change, more extreme are formed and smash on existing seawalls. In order to seawalls’ surrounding, numerical simulations help to verify the of the as-built concrete amour units.

This simulation has been realized in collaboration with ID OCEAN, a consulting firm specialized in coastal structures’ inspections and design. They offer customized solutions to monitor maritime projects, especially 3D digital twin and armor seawall inspection.
