Yesterday marked the International Day of People with Disabilities ( ).

, sanctioned by the United Nations, is dedicated to recognizing the experiences, contributions and achievements of persons with disabilities. It also serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by the 16% of the global population living with a disability, and the importance of advancing their rights, dignity and well-being.

This year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” reinforces the global commitment made at the Second World Summit for Social Development: building a just, equitable and sustainable world requires the inclusion of all members of society.

At Atos, we continue to champion accessibility and disability inclusion across our workplaces and in the solutions we deliver. Our ongoing initiatives aim to support a more accessible digital environment and contribute to a more inclusive society overall.

🌟 Celebrating Inclusion Through Sports: Atos & Special Olympics 🌟

At Atos, we believe in the power of sports - to unite, uplift, and inspire. Through our partnership with Special Olympics, we proudly stand for inclusion and empowerment of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

From October 16–19, a passionate team of Atos volunteers joined Meeting International Special Olympics in Castellón — Spain’s largest annual sporting event for athletes with intellectual challenges. With 500+ athletes from 8 European countries, the event was a true celebration of talent, resilience, and joy. Our volunteers played a vital role in supporting logistics, capturing powerful moments through video testimonials, and amplifying the event’s energy across social media. Their creativity and dedication helped bring the community closer to the athletes’ incredible stories.

💙 This is inclusion in action. This is the spirit of Special Olympics.
