ADOBE FLASH

If you have a website that still uses Adobe "Flash" you need to take action now to modify your site ... the Flash plugin will be discontinued as from January the 1st .. (nothing to do with Brexit this time ;) ).

Even if you dont have a website its highly advisable to remove/uninstall the Adobe Flash plugin from your PC or laptop and other devices for security reasons.

Contact Siteweb65 for more advice, help in changing your web site or removing the plugin.

Même si vous n'avez pas un site web, si votre PC as Adobe Flash installé c'est fortement conseillé pour désinstaller toute suite pour raisons de sécurité.

PayPal fraudulent emails.

Several clients have recently fallen foul of emails supposedly sent from PayPal warning that your account will be closed unless you verify by logging in and confirming your account details.

This type of phishing email is used a lot to try and get you to part with confidential information that allows the criminals to access your account. They are getting very clever these days and the email you receive looks identical to a genuine PayPal email.

However with a few rules you can assure you never fall foul of these scams either on PayPal or on any other online service such as banking and shopping etc.

Firstly suspect all unexpected email as being fraudulent.
This may sound overboard, but it's very easy to send an email that appears to come from someone else. So the first thing is to suspect an Email is false until you are proved otherwise.

Never click a link in an email you are not expecting ..
Links and buttons in emails can be made to go to fake sites that fool you to enter your log in details thinking you are logging into your account, in reality you are sending your details to the spammer direct.
If PayPal or any other service says your account is closing, needs verification or has been used for a purchase you don't recognize, use your normal method of logging into your account to verify, you may have it stored in favorites, or you might type the address in the browser, but never access from the link supplied in the email.
This one rule stops you from ever being duped !!

Other ways you can tell if the email is fake....

Who sent it ..
Look at the sending address, whilst this can also be faked, it sorts the good forgeries from the bad. Most genuine emails from establishments will end in their domain name ... PayPal.com, PayPal.fr for example. If they don't that's good reason to dig deeper.

Look at the address they sent it too...
If it says 'undisclosed', 'clients' or similar it's likely a fake, as it's been sent to lots of people, genuine emails are usually sent out on a one by one basis.

Does the email come across as urgent...
The window of chance for the fraudster is small, they are relying that you are busy, you have used the account recently and that therefore will be alarmed that your payment may not go through. Reenforcing the email with phrases like 'will be deleted immeadiatley', 'your immediate response is required' etc, is designed to make you click on that link without thinking.
