🎬 Highlights from the Beijing International Film Festival at the China Science & Technology Museum (April 20–22)

This major event brought together Chinese filmmakers, representatives from science and technology museums across China, and industry vendors. Over 40 films – both Chinese and international – were screened throughout the festival.

RSA Cosmos was proud to take part alongside its local partner, Merak Cosmos. Our exclusively distributed show H2O was presented during the festival, delivering a unique immersive experience to audiences.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and set within the stunning Jurong Lake Gardens, the New Science Centre Singapore is poised to become an iconic landmark, where architecture, science, and nature converge 🌿✨

Built around the inspiring concept of “Science Meets Nature,” this next-generation destination reimagines STEM engagement through immersive, experience-driven learning 🔬

At the core of the project is a 20-meter planetarium, powered by the RSA Cosmos SkyExplorer system and featuring a state-of-the-art LED dome with REAL 8K resolution 🪐 Leveraging advanced LED technologies and patented innovations, RSA Cosmos delivers exceptional visual performance tailored specifically for planetarium environments.

The planetarium is designed with flexibility at its heart. From a traditional tilted dome theatre to immersive experiences like indoor “night camping” under a digital sky, the space can be transformed in minutes thanks to a fully reconfigurable seating and flooring system, a first in planetarium design 🔄 This versatility enables the venue to host a wide range of events, including concerts, conferences, and banquets 🎶

On March 17–18, 2026, the new SkyExplorer User Forum took place at the Miryang Arirang Space Observatory in South Korea 🌌✨

More than 40 delegates from across the country joined us at Miryang Planetarium 🪐👩‍🚀 to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore the use of SkyExplorer in Korean planetariums. This event was the perfect opportunity to showcase the latest innovations from our SkyExplorer and FreeDome software suites 🚀🖥️, including new features developed directly from user feedback.

South Korea has been, for several decades now, a vibrant and essential hub for the RSA Cosmos community 🇰🇷. This strong and dynamic ecosystem has been built and nurtured thanks to the outstanding work of our partner Metaspace, whose dedication to supporting users and fostering collaboration is truly remarkable—once again clearly demonstrated through the success of this forum 🙌

RSA Cosmos Completed China’s First 20m 8K LED Dome Planetarium 🌌🪐✨

RSA Cosmos proudly announces the completion of China’s first LED Dome planetarium, installed in the brand-new Suzhou Science and Technology Museum, located near Shanghai 🌆.

This 20-meter-diameter LED dome, featuring 8K resolution, was delivered in a record time of just 7 months ⏱️, including both manufacturing and installation. Designed to provide outstanding image quality, high contrast, and perfect uniformity across the entire dome surface, the system positions Suzhou among the most technologically advanced planetarium facilities in the world 🚀.

The installation was carried out in close collaboration with our local partner Merak Cosmos, who not only contributed to the technical implementation but also developed the first educational sequences for live planetarium sessions using SkyExplorer and FreeDome. Thanks to algorithms specifically developed for LED dome technology, the images from SkyExplorer and FreeDome are absolutely extraordinary ✨, delivering an immersive experience unlike anything seen on traditional projection systems.

This new planetarium will offer visitors a next-generation immersive experience, combining cutting-edge technology with educational excellence.

🌟 A New 16m 8K Planetarium at the Euro Space Center in Transinne, Belgium!

We are thrilled and honored to have been chosen to create the Euro Space Center’s brand-new 8K planetarium in Transinne, the only space-themed park supported by the European Space Agency - ESA and internationally recognized for its educational programs in astronomy, space exploration, and STEM.

As part of the building’s expansion, we are working closely with architects and all stakeholders to bring this planetarium to life.

The facility will feature a 16-meter Astrotec Ulteria dome, equipped with Sony GTZ-380 projectors delivering stunning 8K resolution. The experience will be enhanced by cutting-edge 3D immersive sound, comfortable seating, dynamic lighting effects, and more, offering visitors an unparalleled journey through space.

At the heart of the installation, SkyExplorer, the world’s leading astronomical simulator, will allow visitors to explore the universe with unmatched realism and precision, making every show both captivating and educational. 🌌✨
